Loops on the underside almost always trace to the top thread, not the bobbin. Rethread from scratch with the presser foot up so the thread seats between the tension discs, and check that it passes through the take-up lever. If the loops stay, clean lint out of the tension discs and set top tension around 4.
Brush lint out of the bobbin area every 8-10 hours of sewing, or after every project that uses fleece, flannel, or minky. Oil only where your manual shows, usually one drop on the hook race, with proper sewing machine oil. A deeper clean every 3-4 months keeps most machines running for decades.
The usual culprits are the wrong needle for the fabric, a slightly bent needle striking the plate, or fabric being pulled through by hand. Match the size to the job (80/12 for quilting cotton, 90/14 for denim), insert the needle fully with the flat side back, and let the feed dogs do the moving.
